Lauren Yee's New York premiere play Cambodian Rock Band has received a second extension by off-Broadway's Signature Theatre. Originally announced to run through March 8 and later extended to March 15, the production will now conclude its limited engagement at the Pershing Square Signature Center on March 22.
Cambodian Rock Band tells the story of a Khmer Rouge survivor returning back to Cambodia for the first time in 30 years as his daughter prepares to help prosecute one of the most infamous war criminals.
The cast includes Courtney Reed as Neary/Sothea, Francis Jue as Duch, Joe Ngo as Chum, Abraham Kim as Rom, Moses Villarama as Ted/Leng and Jane Lui as Pou.
Chay Yew directs the production, which began previews on February 4 and officially opened on February 24.
